Utilities - Media Releases 19 Jul 2010 00:00
From: Tracey Johnstone
Message:

Will this be a facility available at the club level ? Couldn&rsquot find it on the main menu.

Response:

Tracey - not looking at making this available at club level as yet. Need to work with YA on how to improve the service. The main thing is how to have a national media list maintained initially by YA, but allow clubs to tap into the list but only make avaiable the media in their area.

List/Count Members 19 Jul 2010 00:00

One of my biggest club problems is that our year ends 30 June. So once we collect money from members during June, July, August for the year, eg, 2010/11, I have to hold back on updating the YA database until the YA year starts in September.

This means I end up running two databases, with the names and email addresses of those people who have paid their club membership. Then when September comes I can revert to the YA database which is then updated recording the members who have paid for the new year (ie 1/7 through to 30/6). Then I can use the YA database to contact the 2010/11 financial members via the data stored in the national database.

Response:

Tracey,

Will not be a problem next year. Even though the YA year will not start to Sept ??, you will be able to start entering people in prior to that date.

Message:

Paul,

I clicked into the top link on National level which was 'List/count members'.

I then clicked the 'list Members' button on the List/count members page, it goes into error.

I know its a lot of information...

Response:

James - There was one crap record on the server, but I have changed the code to handle this record. Also limited the "list" function to the first 2000 records.

Team Members 15 Jul 2010 00:00

Paul,

Creating and linking people to teams on a national level.

I created a team called Fred Scuttle in NSW.

However I am having trouble adding people to this team.

The 'Add/Delete' function is happy to let me add people to the team. I did this for YA Num. 1, 36430...

However after refreshing, it still display's that there are no members in this team.

***Also note in the screenshot the 'error1' that comes up under membership type.

Response:

Try again now ... I had the link to the old teams system. The link is now to the new one which should be at www.yachting.org.au/team/  ... if you are not in this folder then it is linking to the wrong team function.

Please Ignore Media Organisations - Links to Club Details 15 Jul 2010 12.05 15 Jul 2010 00:00

Media Organisations - Links to Club Details 15 Jul 2010 12:05

I first thought that on the National menu, that:

  • Media Organisations
  • Staff Members
  • Media Organisation Status

Were not linking properly. Upon further investigation, I believe that it had to do with the time out issue that you have mentioned.

Although I never appeared to log out, or revert to V1 the top three links under Media Releases linked to club functions such as view, add/edit/delete and so on.

After re-logging in, the issue was resolved.

Media Organisations - Links to Club Details 15 Jul 2010 00:00
From: James Ward
Club: YA
Email: james.ward@yachting.org.au
Message:

Paul,

In the national level menu, 'Media organisations' Resides under Media Releases.

This button links through to a state selection screen. This then for some reason links to club detailsm rather than media organisations?

Response:

Timeout issue - will be OK when cut across to V2 properly.
